After the difficult year of the pandemic that affected everyone, the perspectives of the different facets of life evolved. Empowered and enthusiastic by theatre's capability for change, it was a golden opportunity for us to use theatre to improve the different issues around us.

We found that theatre is a perfect space to release our energies, express ourselves, break our personal barriers, and learn. The  theatre's stage was the vehicle we chose to reach new spiritual realms and discover our own worlds. It was also a suitable place to refine our personal talents, engage with our inner thoughts in a loud and free expression -that is non-offensive, and it paved a path for us observe matters from new angles.

We have found our own niche location in ASHTAR Theatre; it was the best place to embrace our talents and refine them. Through its curriculum which continuously evolved alongside us, and various trainers we had had with their own directing methodologies; together, throughout our years of learning, we became a family.

 

Despite the difficulties of last year, and the effects of the pandemic, we as ASHTAR students are nevertheless thriving to organize and carry this festival in its fifth edition.

​

This festival is an opportunity to cooperate with and meet different local and international theatre cultures, committed to break the norms in tackles cases which will be discussed and studied.
